According to the testimony of a Holocaust survivor, in the fall of 1942 inmates of a labor camp (located in the village of Brodetsk in Katerinopol County) who had been sent there from Shpola and were considered unfit for work were murdered in the forest northeast of the village. The date of the massacre, the number of victims, and the identity of the perpetrators are all unknown.
