On the night between October 23 and 24 the Germans rounded up all the Jews of the village. They took them to the building of the high school of the village, where they locked up all 40 Jews. The Germans stole all the belongings and valuables of the Jews, and their food as well. On the next day, at three p.m., the Germans shot the Jews at the machine and tractor station on Gargarin Street in the northern part of the village.

...At the beginning of October Captain Kraemer, the military commander of the Novo Minskaya County German police, ordered Jews, Communists, Komsomol members (members of the Young Communist League), Soviet activists, and partisans - with their families - to appear for registration. The Jews were ordered to wear a white armband with a red star. Later the Jews were ordered to dig pits at the machine and tractor station in the northern part of the village…. After their arrest the Jews had to hand over all their belongings, clothes, valuables, and food to the German Gestapo. All the arrested Jews were locked up in the building of the high school in Novo Derevyankovskaya until October 24, 1942. At three o'clock [in the afternoon] on that day they were taken to pits that had been prepared, [then] they had to undress and descend into the pits. There they were shot to death....
