Murder story of Labinskaya Jews in the Labinskaya Area

Murder Site
Labinskaya
Shortly after the onset of the occupation, the Germans rounded up the Jewish residents of Labinskaya at a local school, which had been transformed into the headquarters of the auxiliary police. From there, the Jews were taken by truck, in groups of 40-50, to a murder site in the Labinskaya area. There, the Jews were forced to line up, and were then shot in the face with submachine guns. The shootings began early in the morning, and continued during the daytime. According to Soviet reports, the first shooting took place on August 29, 1942, while the second one was carried out in the same location in September that year. The total number of victims of both shootings is about 300.

Mariya Dorogan, who was born in 1917 and lived in Labinskaya during the war years, testifies:
תעוד של הוועדה הממלכתית המיוחדת לחקר פשעי הנאצים בברית המועצות משנת 1943 על רצח ורדיפת תושבים בנפת Labinskaya
The Germans occupied the village of Labinskaya on August 7, 1942. Two days later, an order telling everyone to show up for work was posted at the station. This order also instructed individuals of Jewish origin to wear a six-pointed star made of white cloth on their chests. They were told to show up at the school building with enough food for three days. Once the Jews were assembled, they were loaded onto trucks in groups of 40-50. They were then taken outside the village and liquidated by shooting. In this way, some 300 Jews were liquidated. The shootings of the Jews were carried out by the Germans. They began at 6 AM, and lasted into the afternoon. The unfortunate ones were put in rows and shot in the face with submachine guns. I witnessed the shootings of innocent women, children, and elderly people. The first shooting of the Jewish residents was carried out on August 29, and the second one took place in September 1942.
