In September 1941 German and local police forces arrested 176 Jews from Bazar and some Jews from the nearby villages.
They forced the Jews, along with some some Soviet POWs, to march to Korosten, 60 kilometers from Bazar.
The victims were shot to death at a clay pit.

The ChGK report from Bazar
In September 1941, following the order of Bauer-Moshkovski, Grosser, and Herz, gendarmerie and police forces arrested the Jewish inhabitants, including elderly people, women, and young children - [a total of] 176 people from Bazar, 20 POWs, and 50 people from Ksaverov. They were taken under guard toward the town of Korosten, [but] on their way they were shot to the death.
