In the summer of 1941 about 150 Jews from Zhashkov and the [rest of the] County were taken to the brick factory on Zhashkov’s northern outskirts and shot to death at the Dubina Cliff overlooking the clay pit. The date of this massacre is not known. The murder was apparently carried out by members of Einsatzgruppe C.

From the Report of the Political Department of the 59th Army about German atrocities in Zhashkov County, January 15, 1944:
During the first days of the occupation the Germans shot 300 innocent residents, mostly Jews and also Communists, in Zheshkov [sic Zhashkov] County, Kiev District… near the brick factory at Dubina circles [sic, Dubina cliff]…. Entire Jewish families were annihilated….
