Murder Site
Kadino Area
Russia (USSR)
The Jews of Kadino were killed in two murder operations during the fall of 1941. According to some sources the shooting was carried out on October 10; according to other sources in November 1941. In this shooting between 300 and 370 Jews were shot not far from the town. Among them there were probably Jews from some nearby villages. Prior to this shooting about 20 older Jews who were unable to work had been killed, although the inscriptions on the memorials say they were murdered later, on October 14, 1941.
