In October 1942, following a Gestapo order, 29 evacuated Jews who had remained in Troitskoye village were collected at the office of the local authorities or, according to other sources, in a nearby barn. Some sources noted that 5 Jews from the nearby village were brought to the same place. There the victims were kept for several hours and then taken toward the Bulgun Ravine one kilometer from the village. There all of them, including old people, children, and women under the age of 35, were shot at the edge of the ravine. Some victims were buried while half alive.

…All of Troitskoye witnessed the shooting in horror: Although the ravine is located far from the village, it is clearly seen from the distance. However, it was not possible to distinguish the executioners' faces. They were wearing black uniforms. On the eve [of the shooting] the Germans and their collaborators collected all the Jews from their houses, apparently, their lists had been made in advance. The people were told that they would either be sent to perform some work or be evacuated further. They were kept in the local authority office for some time…. In October 1942, in the early evening when it was still daylight, a covered trucked left from there. Two black cars followed it. They stopped at the ravine. The undressed people were unloaded from the truck. Their white undershirts were seen clearly from far away. According to the testimonies of Troiskoye locals there were only old people, children, and women under the age of 35 among the evacuated people. The children were murdered "bloodlessly" by applying some poison to their upper lips. Then they were grabbed by their arms or legs and thrown into the ravine. The adults were shot to death with guns: each of them approached the steep edge, shots were heard, and the victim fell into the ravine. Neither crying, nor shouting was heard but only the dry clicks of gun shots…. When everything was over, all the male [non-Jewish] population of Troitskoye village was collected - they were old men of 60-70 years. They were ordered to take shovels and to cover the corpses with earth…. They were buried twice. They were still alive. The soil was heaving. So they stopped burying them. Later the old people were called to come with shovels a second time.
