The Jews of Dorogobuzh were shot to death in the Yamskoy Ravine in 1942. Before the shooting the victims were tortured, stabbed, and had their eyes gouged out. Some sources say that 25 Jewish families were murdered there.

…in the Yamskoy Ravine a Jewish family named Boroks, consisting of four members, was shot in 1942. Other Jewish families were also shot there. Furthermore, brutal abuse, stabbing, the gouging out of eyes, etc., preceded the shooting.
