Five young Jews, apparenly of the same height, age 15 and 16, were selected by the Germans and forced into a trench. Then they were buried alive in a standing position. Later the Germans pressed down the earth by driving a tank over the place where the victims had been buried.

Sofiya Soinskaya (neé Peyko), who was born in 1921 in Demidov, testified:
The Germans selected five teenagers 15-16 years old, of the same height, of Jewish origin. They [the Germans] forced them into a trench and buried them alive in an upright position. Then they [the Germans] drove a tank over them and leveled the spot. My brother Dodik Peyko, a 9th grade pupil, was among them.
