After the murder of most of the Jewish residents of Urechye, some 86-120 Jewish professionals remained alive. On August 4, 1943 (or in June 1942), all of them were murdered near Urechye, at a location that the Soviet sources designate the "4th Artillery Regiment Tract" (on present-day Zelenaya Street in Urechye, near Kuybyshev Street).

We have conducted a forensic examination of the mass shooting and burial site near the airfield of the village of Urechye, where the Germans shot Soviet civilians. There, one pit, 10 meters long and 5 meters wide, was discovered. After the exhumation of the grave pit, the commission determined: …the number of buried bodies is 125.
