[In the fall of 1942] after the women and girls were murdered, the men and little boys were taken to the Jewish cemetery in Sloboda. The men were ordered to dig a pit, and then they were all shot to death there.

... Then they brought out the males and took them in the direction of the village of Sloboda. Before they had moved 100 meters several carts drove up to the Jewish homes. Everything that was of any value was taken and carried away somewhere. Today greenery is growing near the turn toward Zhdanovo. It is just at that place that they shot to death the males from Tsuraki. They [the victims] dug the pit themselves….
