In November 1941 about 100 Turbov Jews were murdered by members of Einsatzkommando 5 of Einsatzgruppe C at the pit of the kaolin clay factory on the outskirts of Turbov.

…We the undersigned…compiled a report [noting] that during the temporary German occupation, in the course of 1941-1942-1943, the annihilation of Jews started on July 29, 1941, with the shooting of 97 Jews. Most of the victims were thrown into a pit at the kaolin clay factory…in the town of Turbov.
