Murder Story of Zlatopol Jews in Listopadovo

In May 1942 183 Jews of Zlatopol were taken to Listopadovo village located one kilometer from the town. There the victims were stripped naked and shot. Their bodies were thrown into a well. Some of the Jews, mostly children, were thrown into the well while still alive.

A fourth group was taken beyond Listopadovo village, where there was a stable and a well in the field. Rumor said that they were thrown into the well. [Some of them] were thrown in while still alive.

A third group of arrested Jews, 183 people in number, was annihilated also. They were taken to Listopadovo village one kilometer from Zlatopol. The German bastards first stripped the arrestees naked, then shot them and threw them into the well. Some of them were thrown in alive. Those who resisted were bayoneted. Children were smashed against the walls of a barn. This took place around May 1942.
