In early January, following the escape of some Jew from the ghetto, 10 other Jews were selected and locked into a house on Pochtovaya Street. The gendarmes set fire to the house and guarded it until it burned down. In an attempt to survive one person succeeded in of getting out of the burning house through a window but he was caught by the gendarmes and killed.

The Soviet report from Bobrinets
During the first days of January a Jew named Torgovetskiy managed to escape from Bobrinets. Three days later, following an order of the Gebitskommisar Colonel Goltsman, an ethnic German, and of head of Bobrinets police Bam, ten Soviet civilians were selected from the Jewish population. They were locked by the Germans into a separate house and brutally burned to death. Among those burned were: Vladimir Yusimov, Gots, Shargil, Kotlyarovskiy, and others. The above-mentioned persons of Jewish origin were burned to death in the house while it was guarded by gendarmes. When one of the civilians, Vladimir Yusimov, broke out through a window and fell, half-conscious, 15 – 20 meters from the execution place, he was shot by the gendarmes on guard and then thrown back into the burning house.
