About 120 Pliskov Jews who succeeded in escaping the massacre of October 1941 but were discovered by Germans or local auxiliary policemen were taken to the police prison in the building of the prewar NKVD county office. After being abused, the victims were taken in groups out to the prison yard and shot to death.
