Murder story of Stary Zhivotov Jews in the Stary Zhivotov Area

…In 1942, in May, a German Gestapo squad arrived in vehicles in Stary Zhivotov village. The name of the German officer who commanded the detachment is unknown. On that day innocent Soviet civilians of Jewish origin were working in a field covering trenches. The officer sent some of the soldiers from the squad that had arrived to the field to bring these citizens. The Germans surrounded these people and brought them to the village, locked them into a barn, forced them to strip, [and] beat them. Afterwards they took them outside the village and shot them with submachine-guns. The bodies of the shooting victims were buried at the site of the atrocity. The names of the citizens shot were: 1.
