Murder story of Smotrich Jews in the Fat-Boiling Facility in the Smotrich Area

According to one testimony on September 1, 1941 local Jews were taken by force to a collection point, where a selection was carried out. The women, children, and elderly were taken under guard to a hill outside of town. The victims were apparently shot to death by a detachment of Einsatzgruppe C and their bodies were buried at a fat-boiling site where pits had been prepared.
