On September 5, 1941 between 135 and 200 Jews were murdered in the area of the cememtery, where pits had been prepared. The Jews were first forced to undress and then shot to death by SS units and local policemen. As far as is known, only one girl, Manya Rozenberg, age 12, succeeded in escaping from the pit and hiding with people that she knew.
