On January 7, 1942 Sychevka's Jews, including children and old people, were taken to the outskirts of the town. According to different sources they numbered 30, 52, or 100. They were beaten and then shot to death by Germans.

On January 6, 1942 the Jews [of Sychevka] were registered and shot. Among them were: Beilin, 70 years old; Boris Edelman, 50 years old; Mariya Iospa and her five children; Bella Tseitlin, 28 years old, and her mother, father, and son; and many others, a total of thirty people. Before the shooting the German fiends raped the women, brutally beat the blind old man Beilin, and abused innocent children. They burned down their houses and looted all their possessions.
