On September 25, 1941 16 Jews were collected at the house of the village elder of 33rd Village. From there they were taken on foot half a kilometer outside the village to an abandoned well and shot dead. The perpetrators of this murder were apparently members of the German military police (Feldgendarmerie) and local auxiliaries.

…4 Jewish families were living in our village: the family of Chaya Peremuter [sic, apparently Perelmuter]- Chaya herself [and] her three children age 9 to 15; the Savranskiy family- the wife and the two children age 3 to 9; the Ushonskiy family- Ushonskiy himself, his wife, the two children age 12 to 16, and his [Ushonskiy's] adult sister ; the Rozenberg family - the wife, his [the husband's] mother - aged 55, the two children age 17 and 19, and his [Rozenberg's] married daughter; and a single woman named Shnayder [?] . At the end of September 1941 4 German military personnel arrived in our village in 2 passenger cars. The Germans came to find the head of the rural administration of 33rd Village, an ethnic German named Yakov Yakovlevich Baer. Through his efforts all the village's Jews were collected at Baer's house. From there they were taken outside the village and shot at an old abandoned well, their bodies were thrown into the 12-15- meter deep well. I did not see the shooting, but I heard the shots. There were single shots.
