According to some testimonies, between December 11 and December 13, 1941 a group of Jews from Simferopol was, apparently, marched under guard by auxiliary policemen via Lenin Boulevard to the railway station. From there they were taken to Dubky, 2 kilometers northwest of Simferopol on the road leading to Nikolayev, where they were shot to death at an anti-tank trench and buried. Later, from 1942-1944, at this location, on the territory of the Krasnyi sovkhoz, there was located a concentration camp where over 8,000 civilians (including women and children) and POWs were held and murdered.
