In mid-September 1941, 71 Jews (of all ages and both sexes, from the Kaganovich collective farm were taken to an abandoned well at the nearby Yurkino state farm and shot dead there. The perpetrators were members of Sonderkommando 10a of Einsatzgruppe D.

The examination established that… an abandoned well on the territory of the Berislav Yurkino grain-growing state farm was the site where the shooting took place. A total of 71 people - 22 men, 29 women, and 20 children - were shot dead….
