In mid-September 1941, 71 Jews (of all ages and both sexes, from the Kaganovich collective farm were taken to an abandoned well at the nearby Yurkino state farm and shot dead there. The perpetrators were members of Sonderkommando 10a of Einsatzgruppe D.
