On September 16, 1941 a unit apparently belonging to Einsatzgruppe D held locked 113 Jews of all ages and both sexes from the Serp i Molot kolkhoz in the collective farm garage. From there the victims were taken the short distance to the Stalin collective farm and shot dead at the Zhivodyorovskiy well.

…The citizens Maria Gayduk, Ekaterina Zubakha, Lukeriya Yampolskaya, [and] Ulyana Korneeva testified that 6 members of an SS murder squad arrived in a passenger car on September 16, 1941 and started to drive the Jews out of their houses and then brought them to a place near a garage. [Afterwards] they took them to the Zhivodyorovskiy well, where they [the squad members] shot them. That is how 113 innocent, peaceful Jewish residents, consisting of 20 men, 40 women, and 53 children, were brutally shot.
