On September 25, 1941 about 80 Jews of the Komintern (Comintern) collective farm of all ages and both sexes were held in the local school building by a unit apparently belonging to Einsatzgruppe D and by local auxiliaries. The Jews were then taken to an abandoned well, known as the Zhivoderovskiy well, located about 2.5 kilometers southeast of the village on the Stalin collective farm and shot dead there.
