According to one of the German perpetrators, 15 Jews from Skadovsk – men, women and children – were shot outside the town, in the area of the Black Sea coast, in the fall of 1941. This massacre was perpetrated by members of Sonderkommando 10b of Einsatzgruppe D.

…In response to the question of whether SK [Sonderkommando] 10b carried out executions in Skadovsk, I would say not on a large scale. I can recall only one execution of Jews – in which, I believe, 15 people (men, women, and children) were shot outside the town, at the seaside.…
The execution of the abovementioned 15 Jews [was carried out] under the command of [junior SS officer of Sonderkommando 10b] Wiesenberger, who had selected them [for execution] during a roundup in Skadovsk. I was involved in this execution: I may have been a marksman, or else I had to finish off the survivors. As far as I can remember, 2 or 3 other men were present, in addition to Wiesenberger and myself….
