... I, Nadezhda Ivanovna Paegle, the daughter of parents who were murdered by the German monsters… am hereby informing you about the atrocities committed by the German executioners towards my parents and other 12 persons…. On the morning of November 22, at 7 a.m. Abraham Beider, who was wounded in the leg and slightly below the heart [returned to the building]. Some time afterwards Vladlen Goncharuk, who had been wounded in the hand, also entered. Vladlen told me about the fate of all [the victims], including my parents. Vladlen saw with his own eyes how my father fell [into the pit], my mother hearing the [other] women's moaning [said] "Finish [us] off already!" The mad monsters continued to shoot and the moaning was silenced. The victims were shot on November 21, 1941 at 6 p.m. near the Massandra wine cellar (shooting site). Vladlen managed to survive when one furious German monster missed and shot him only in the hand.
