Mariya Krishin, who was born in 1917, testified:
… On November 3, 1942 the entire Jewish family of Alexander Ivanovich [sic] Kats and Gorpina Ukolovna Kats [the names of the 9 members of this Jewish family are given] … were arrested and shot by policemen led by police chief Cherkus and the head of the village Suprun. The shooting was carried out in the Zhernovskiy Forest near the village of Maityushko …
