From the testimony of Ivan Koval, who was born in 1887:
State Extraordinary Commission for Investigation of Nazi War Crimes in the Soviet Union (ChGK) documentation dated 1943-1945, regarding crimes committed in the Dnepropetrovsk Region
…moreover, Jewish families and Gypsies, they all were sent to the Gestapo in Gulyay Pole. As I know from eyewitnesses they were shot there or killed in gas vans. For example, in the spring of 1942 two Jewish families of 5 persons and three Gypsy families of five adults and 9 children were arrested. There was flooding and they all were transported across a river in a boat. In the process one Jewish girl went mad. According to rumors, they were shot in Gulyay Pole.
