According to various Soviet documents, 20-80 Jews from Zenkov were murdered, probably in the winter of 1941-1942, in the town area, although the documents do not specify the location or date of the massacre. According to some sources, on January 18, 1942 the four surviving Jewish families from the area were sent from the village of Grun (in the nearby Grun County) to Zenkov. Apparently, they were shot in Zenkov together with the local Jews. German reports speak of the murder of 280 Jews, both in Gadyach and in Zenkov, in January 1942.
