Seventy-four Jewish experts (shoemakers, carpenters, locksmiths) were left in Grozovo with their families after most of the Jewish population was taken to the ghetto in Konyukhi. They continued living in the town, in six houses. In July 1942, all these remaining Jews were gathered together and taken to a quarry about half a kilometer from the town, where they were shot to death.
