On March 13, 1942 a German detachment arrived in Komzetovka and, with the assistance of local collaborators, arrested six Jews living in Komzetovka: a woman married to a non-Jewish man, her two children, her mother and sister, and an elderly woman. They were taken a short distance outside the village (now an empty area within the village of Veresayevo), to the site of a stone quarry, and shot there.
