According to a local resident, in 1941 groups of Jews from various places in Ak Sheikh County were brought to Ak Sheikh and shot at a well near the water tower on the outskirts of the village.

- Here in Razdolnoye, at the water tower.
- They rounded them up, then took them to their headquarters and then took them to the water tower to shoot them.
- So these were not local Jews?
- No. They came from the whole district.
- Was there one mass murder or several?
- It took place on one day. But some people were hiding and some were at work, while others were hiding. So these had to be collected.
