Antšunijia
Lithuania
Between July 3 and July 10, 1941 122 Jewish men who lived in Tauragē were killed near the Tauragē-Šilalė Road. The mass murder was carried out by Einsatzkommando Tilsit headed by Hans Joachim Boehme. On September 13, 1941 the Jews in the Tauragē ghetto were told that they were to be moved to a location with better conditions. On September 16 they were taken from the ghetto and loaded onto trucks that took them to a forest near the village of Antšunijia, six kilometers northwest of Tauragē and 100-150 meters from the Tauragē-Šilalė Road. There members of the Lithuanian auxiliary police brutally murdered these old people, women, and children. According to Soviet sources, approximately 3,000 victims were buried in mass graves.

From collective testimony of Jews from Tauragē:
A collective testimony about the fate of Tauragē's Jews
… On one occasion, in the evening, the “partisans” [Lithuanian nationalists] informed the women that they had to appear on July 13, 1941, with their children, at the camp where the men were being held. The women were very happy that they would be able to join the men. They carefully packed what they had and anticipated the next day. On July 14, 1941, at 5 in the morning, the “partisans” arrived with trucks, lined up the women and children, and took them five kilometers from the town to a grove of trees near the Jūra River, and shot them.... The farmer Jozouliene lived near the barracks and saw everything. After the war she told Dvora Fish what happened. The farmer said that, when they took the Jews from the barracks, they forbade the Lithuanians to look out of their windows, but the farmer saw that they first brought one group of women in four trucks. All of these women were wearing only their underwear. Afterwards single trucks arrived, bringing women who were half naked or only in their underwear, along with some children and men. The screams of the women and children could be heard far away. Only the “partisans” accompanied the trucks. Afterwards, apparently, the younger and stronger women were forced to dig pits and, after they had finished, they were shot in them. The rest of the women were kept in the barracks while the pits were prepared. Before the women were taken from the barracks, they were forced to hand over any valuables they had: rings, earrings, etc. Then they were forced to strip to their underwear. The murderers... related tragic and shocking details about the deaths of the Jews [they had killed] next to the pits
