Konstantinovka
Ukraine (USSR)
Konstantinovka was established in 1870 as a village, and it became a town in 1931. Little is known about its Jewish community. In 1939, Konstantinovka was home to 3,365 Jews, who made up about four percent of the total population. The town was occupied by the Germans on October 28, 1941. Apparently, most of the local Jews had managed to evacuate prior to that. The murder operation against the remaining Jews took place in November or December 1941. Konstantinovka was liberated by the Red Army on September 6, 1943.
