Krasnogorovka
Ukraine (USSR)
Krasnogorovka was a village in the Maryinka County, established in the mid-19th century. Little is known about the Jewish presence in the village. In 1939, it was home to 121 Jews, who made up approximately one percent of the total population. Krasnogorovka was occupied by the Germans on October 19, 1941. The Jews who had remained there were executed in late winter 1942. Prior to the murder operation, some non-Jews were executed, as well, for giving assistance to Jews. Krasnogorovka was liberated by the Red Army on September 10, 1943.
