In January 1942, the Jewish residents of the entire county were taken to the town of Gadyach in the Poltava District, where they were shot in a ravine known as Goncharskiye Yarki. There was one Jewish family from Synivka among the victims.
The Red Army liberated Synivka on September 9, 1943.
