Skorodnoye is a tiny hamlet in the Dzerzhinsk County, lying 24 kilometers from its center. The earliest reference to the hamlet dates to the 19th century. There is no indication that a Jewish community existed there prior to the war.
Skorodnoye was occupied by the Germans around July 28, 1941. A Jewish family from the nearby village of Nagoreloye was murdered in the vicinity of Skorodnoye shortly after the beginning of the occupation.
The village was liberated by the Red Army in early July 1944.
