The village of Temirgoyevskaya was outside the tsarist Pale of Settlement and no Jews lived there before the Soviet-German war. However, with the German invasion of the USSR on June 22, 1941, Temirgoyevskaya County became the destination of civilian evacuation or flight, including of many Jews.
German forces occupied Temirgoyevskaya on August 8, 1942.
During the occupation the Germans shot about 30 civilians, among them Jews, Communists, and leaders of the Komsomol (Communist Youth Movement).
The Red Army liberated the village of Temirgoyevskaya on January 28, 1943.
