Before the war several Jewish families lived in Rakowicze.

In September 1939, in the wake of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, Rakowicze was annexed to the USSR.

Rakowicze was occupied by the Germans on June 27, 1941.

During the war all it Jews were murdered in one murder operation.

Rakowicze was liberated by the Red Army in July 1944.
