Sukhinichi
Russia (USSR)
Jews settled in Sukhinichi in the last half of the 19th century when the town was the center of the hemp trade. In 1939 the 98 Jews of Sukhinichi comprised around 1 per cent of the town's total population. Sukhinichi was occupied by the Germans on October 7, 1941. The Jews who had remained in the town were murdered in November and December 1941.

The town was liberated by the Red Army on January 29, 1942.
