At the beginning of the German occupation of Yudendorf in autumn 1941 the local Jews were robbed of their food and forced to wear white armbands with the Star of David. Some Jewish children were hidden in neighbors' homes.
On February 13, 1942 the Nazi occupiers shot about 80 Jews, including 20 Jews from Yudendorf (and 61 Jews from nearby Kamenka village) at a well near the Chubarov farmstead, approximately 3 kilometers from Yudendorf.
Yudendorf was liberated by the Red Army on April 1944 and, subsequently, renamed Oktyabrskoye.
