Vysokopolye
Ukraine (USSR)
Vysokopolye was founded in 1869 as a German agricultural colony under the name of Kronau. Its name was changed to Vysokopolye in 1915. 139 Jews lived in the village in 1897, when they comprised 18.7 percent of the total population. Most of the Jews of Vysokopolye were merchants or artisans. In 1926 about 200 Jews lived in entire Vysokopolye area.

Many Jews left the village before it was occupied by German troops on August 16, 1941. Several Jewish families who remained were murdered near the village of Knyazevka in September 1941.

Vysokopolye was liberated by the Red Army on February 28, 1944.
