Kryukov
Ukraine (USSR)
Jews apparently first settled in Kryukov at the end of the 18th century. During the civil war that followed the Bolshevik revolution 10 Jews were killed in pogroms. In 1926 the Jewish population of the town numbered 1,166. The town was occupied by German troops on August 9, 1941. On November 7 (8), 1941 124 (or, according to other sources, 131) Jews were shot at the Kandybinsky Hollow. The town was liberated by the Red Army on October 25, 1943.
