Jews first settled in Repki in the early 19th century. At the beginning of the 20th century they comprised a majority of the town's population. In 1905 a pogrom in Repki resulted in damage to Jewish property. In 1919 150 Jews lost their lives during a series of pogroms. In February 1921 Jewish life and property sufferred again during a pogrom carried out by forces of Ataman Galaka. 102 Jews were murdered soon afterward, when troops of Bulak-Balakhovich entered Repki. In 1939 Repki's 79 Jews comprised 2 percent of the total population. When the Soviet-German war broke out on June 22, 1941 many Jews managed to flee. Repki was occupied by German troops on August 30, 1941. The remaining Jews were murdered by the Germans. Several Jews from the Repki region were murdered in Repki. Documents report the shooting of a Jew from Radul in September 1942 and the hanging of a Jew from Tupichev on January 28, 1942. Repki was liberated by the Red Army on September 26, 1943.
