In 1895 several Jewish grain traders were allowed to live near the Seytler railway station. In the 1920s Jewish agricultural settlers came to Seytler. In the late 1920s and early 1930s several Jewish kolkhozes were established around Seytler, among them "Blyukcherdorf" and "Rabotnik."
In 1939 82 Jews lived in Seytler. Some of them managed to leave before the arrival of German troops in late autumn 1941. At the end of 1941 or in the summer 1942 53 Jews of Seytler, along with Jews from surrounding localities, were murdered by Germans on the outskirts of the village.
Seytler was liberated by the Red Army on April 12, 1944.
