Right after the liberation of Maniewicze in 1944, Jewish partisans, led by Dov Broinshtein, erected a monument from building blocks at "the Horse Graves" in the Cherewacha Forest, to commemorate the Jewish victims of Maniewicze and Trojanówka. Shortly afterwards the monument was destroyed and the site desecrated. On August 13, 1991 a fenced-off monument, funded by former Maniewicze Jews living in Israel, was erected at the same site. The labradorite monument, topped with a Star of David, has inscriptions in Ukrainian and Hebrew. The Ukrainian inscription reads as follows:"At this site in 1942 over three thousand Jewish civilians were shot to death by the German occupiers and their accomplices." The Hebrew inscription says: "Here are buried more than three thousand Jews from Maniewicze and its surroundings who were murdered by the Germans and their accomplices. May God avenge their blood ([which was shed on] 3 Av 5702 [1941] [-] 26.8. 41) ([and on] 23 Elul 5703 [1942] [-] 5.9. 42)."
