Janssens Jean-Baptiste

Janssens, Father Jean Baptiste Father Jean-Baptiste Janssens, assisted the Benedyk Grynpas* network, in Brussels, by issuing forged baptism certificates for many Jewish children. As a leading member in the Jesuit Society (Compagnie de Jésus), he was able to enlist many other clergy to help in this rescue operation. In 1947, Father Janssens became the head of the order of the Jesuit Society in Rome. On June 24, 1975,Yad Vashem recognized Father Jean Baptiste Janssens as Righteous Among the Nations.
