Bezruczko Mikołaj & Katarzyna ; Daughter: Pac Jadwiga (Bezruczko)

Righteous
BEZRUCZKO KATARZYNA BEZRUCZKO MIKOŁAJ PUC- BEZRUCZKO JADWIGA Katarzyna Bezruczko, her husband Mikołaj, and their daughter Jadwiga lived in Wyżniany, not far from Lwów, in the district of Prezemyślany. Mikołaj was a tradesman and his wife owned a store. Among their many Jewish friends was the Gesund family: Artur, Ida, and their two-year-old son. In the winter of 1942, the Gesunds were hiding with a friendly family in nearby Gliniany. They were extremely poor and feeding a family of three was beyond their means. Thus, the Bezruczkos brought them food from Wyżniany, which helped them to survive. They did so without any self-interest whatsoever. After the war, the Gesund family immigrated to Israel. During the 1970’s, they managed to obtain the address of the Bezruczkos, who had moved to Olszanka in the Opole district, and to renew contact with them. On January 23, 1991, Yad Vashem recognized Mikołaj Bezruczko, his wife, Katarzyna Bezruczko, and their daughter, Jadwiga Pac, as Righteous Among the Nations. File 4850
