Broekman Lambertus & Roelofje (Jonge de)

Broekman, Lambertus & Roelofje (de Jonge) Chaya Goldbach was 15 years old in 1942, when Willem Lodeizen*, a family friend, persuaded her parents to send her and her older brother into hiding. Lodeizen took Chaya to the Broekman family in Orten, where she remained until the liberation. The Broekmans received only a small payment for her food and lodging from the Resistance. On May 3, 1982, Yad Vashem recognized Lambertus Broekman and his wife, Roelofje Broekman-de Jonge, as Righteous Among the Nations.
