Boelhouwer First name unknown & First name unknown

Righteous
Boelhouwer, Mr. & Mrs. Two children from Haarlem, Max and Johan Herz, found shelter in the Boelhouwer’s home for four months. The boys were saved thanks to the mediation of the Thuéré* family. At first, Max and Johan were sent to an address in Eindhoven, North Brabant. However, they had a bad experience there and were consequently brought back to Haarlem, where they stayed with the Alles* family and the Saas* family before being taken into the Boelhouwers’ home. The boys hid there for four months, at which point their hosts became extremely concerned and frightened and requested that the boys be relocated elsewhere. On September 2, 1973, Yad Vashem recognized Mr. and Mrs. Boelhouwer as Righteous Among the Nations.
